So what's a girl like me doing talking about an acne product?! Well, I have to tell you, I get acne, too. All kinds of people get acne, and I've learned it doesn't matter who you are, where you come from, or what you do for a living. You could be 15, or you could be 40. Acne doesn't discriminate

It doesn't matter if you're a pop singer or if you work in a coffee shop. I know that no one wants to have these critters on their face, and everyone would rather be clear, confident and be able to hold their head up high instead of not being able to look people in the eye because of a pimple or a few bumps.

I started getting acne really bad when I started touring. I was under so much stress and not getting as much sleep while on the road. Suddenly, all that stress started showing up on my face as blemishes. It made me feel very embarrassed and really self-conscious. I had to wear all this makeup just to cover it up, and when I took it off, it was like a Jekyll and Hyde moment, you know? I was this one person with my makeup on, and I was this other very self-conscious person without the makeup. I just wanted to be able to go outside without having a whole team of people around me just to hide my acne. It was controlling my life, and it definitely controlled my confidence.

It took a lot for me to decide to share my story about acne - it's definitely difficult putting something so vulnerable out there. But I pride myself on being a real person, and I think my fans especially know that I'd never get behind something unless I really believed in it. And I really believe in the solution I found.
